4 Steps (or less) to Register for a Workforce Training Program

And Change Your Life

Nothing makes us happier than seeing you enroll in a training program that we know will change your life. That’s why we work hard to make it as easy as possible for you to take the first step and get enrolled.

Here’s how to get enrolled in four steps or less.

  1. Determine which program you’ll be enrolling in.
Register for training in a new career in 4 steps or less

If you’re not sure, call Marlene Phillips, Director of Advising and Outreach at 903.463.8752 or phillipsm@grayson.edu. She’ll help you find the perfect fit.

  1. If you’ve decided to enroll in Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT), Programmable Logic Controller Technician (PLC), or Pharmacy Technician (PT) skip to Step 3.

All others, Step 2. applies to you.

Using the information found on the Entry Requirements tab of the course information page (grayson.edu/cwl…Available Courses…Healthcare…your program) as reference, gather, obtain, and submit the required immunization and TB test results to cwl@grayson.edu.  If you have questions or are experiencing challenges in obtaining your immunization records, contact Marlene Phillips, Director of Advising and Outreach at 903.463.8752 or phillipsm@grayson.edu with questions.

  1. Identify a funding source for the program tuition.

This could be yourself or another party entirely. Check out the course information page for more details or our Paying for Classes webpage, or contact Marlene Phillips, Director of Advising and Outreach at 903.463.8752 or phillipsm@grayson.edu with questions.

If your tuition is being paid by Workforce Solutions Texoma, TCOG, or another third party, you must provide a letter/email to cwl@grayson.edu from the funder pledging the funder’s financial support of the training program tuition for enrollment purposes.

  1. Complete the Continuing Education Enrollment Application.

This is typically completed from the program information page online (See: grayson.edu/cwl…Available Courses…) and selecting “Register for this class”. The application is also available in hard copy in the CWL office, located at Grayson College, Center for Workplace Learning, Suite 100, 6101 Grayson Dr., Denison, TX 75020.

Workforce training programs have limits on class size. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Prospective students are not enrolled in the workforce training program until all steps have been completed.

The final deadline for enrollment in a workforce training program is 5 pm on the Friday before class begins.

Don’t struggle with this process- call us if we can help! We can’t wait to have you on-campus and as a student!
